If BJP looses in Rajsthan, it would be Democracy Loosing…

Main Issues Against BJP Government

The prime issues in Rajasthan elections which poses serious threat to BJP and are considered as reason for strong anti-incumbency against BJP/Vasundhara Raje government actually draws respect for the Government itself, but here media somehow is projecting those issues as major setback points against ruling government. It actually escapes logic how encounter of gangster Anand Pal, from the Ravanna Rajput community, last year by the state police is being showcased as negative aspect of BJP’s governance.

Let’s look at crime history of Anand Pal,:

  • He got involved in the illegal liquor trade and made enemies out of his competitors.
  • His name cropped up in the murders of Gopal Fogawat and Jeevanram Godara (2006).
  • I’d met Gopal Fogawat, he was a gem of a person. If he were alive today, he would have been for sure a Union minister in Central Govt of BJP.
  • Anandpal was fond of AK-47 rifles. When he was arrested at a farm house near Jaipur in 2012, he was found in possession of an AK-47, bullet-proof vests and bullets. He allegedly used an AK-47 to fire on policemen at this encounter. AK47 rifle which is not easily available in India and can be procured only through terrorist links. Sanjay Dutta has faced imprisonment for the act of keeping assault rifles at his house while Anand Pal had actually used it.
  • Jail Break: he escaped from police custody with the help of three accomplices after firing at police vehicle carrying him for hearing.
  • After escaping from police custody, Anandpal was accused of killing a policeman when a police team tried to stop his vehicle in Gudha Bhagwandas.
  • He carried the highest cash reward Rajasthan police had ever offered Rs 5 lakhs, and Rajasthan police spent crores of rupees on resources for catching the criminal.
  •  Besides that he had numerous Extortion and murder charges against him.

Well because of doubt created by Anand Pal’s family over his encounter, Ravana Rajput community got enraged and vowed to not vote for BJP. Now isn’t it hilarious that a gangster is shown so much respect and all the crimes done by him are forgotten? What about the families who lost their love ones at his or his accomplices hands? While media always questions Mob lynching and considers it a failure of government, here it is displaying a gangster who is responsible for the death of many, as a Bollywood hero and Robin Hood, raises questions in itself?

Does democracy mean that if a criminal belongs to a dominant community will be let go because if action is taken against him the community will not vote for the Government responsible? Is India so divided in to community that people will forgive their own for no matter what crimes at the cost of nation itself?

Like the Patidar andolan in Gujarat where Patel/Patidars were demanding quota not because they were at the bottom of the food chain but because their community forms a significant population in Gujarat and hence can vote out a Government at their whim for not supporting any demand, no matter how unjust it might be. Is it the new trend that majority absolves the crime? If it is so then why is that the Mob and government are questioned when lynching takes place? It exposes the media which is always found to have a bias against BJP as they are bound to get less profits during BJP regime and hence try to pull every trick at their disposal to rig the election by affecting the outlook of people. Obviously during BJP’s rule there is less of havoc and its not everyday that some national tragedy or scams are taking place, well who wants to watch News when everything is fine? Hence TRPs are taking a hit and media is frustrated by lack of sensational content.

Another one is Padmavat row, which is alienating Rajput community from BJP. Well here again it escapes how, Congress on whose side Rajput are now shifting could have tackled he issue in any better way? It has been under Congress that traditions of Rajput communities and valor had been wiped out from history. Congress men have nothing but disdain against Hindu warriors and full of praise and reverence for Mughal invaders. So Rajput’s wishing for Congress rule seems ironical, where they support their worst enemy for a Gangster and a movie release. Movie which had nothing against the famed Rani Padmavati and those who have seen the movie can vouch that it did not portray Rajput’s in bad light and only seeks to glorify their traditions and spread the story only locally renowned to worldwide audience. It also displays the horrific personality of Khilji invader and the un-wavering ideology and bravery of Rajputs.

Karni Sena collusion with Congress exposed: https://rightlog.in/2018/02/karni-sena-congress-01/

Rajput Karni Sena which was previously regarded as Right wing and BJP supported organisation and criticized heavily by Congress is now seen bonding closely with Congress and media which pose serious questions and asked for criminal prosecution of Karni Sena personnel for their violent methods of protest, with Congress and other opposition chorus against BJP is silent on this new relationship. Siding with Congress seems to have washed all their crimes and in one go they have transitioned from Ultra Right wing to Secular and pro-poor front.

There could have been other issues because of which Rajasthan Population might have targeted BJP government, but other than these issues all seems well on the administration front and Central, Ujjwala scheme, Bhamashah scheme by Vasundhara Raje government are huge hit except of course that “CM is arrogant” notion which I failed to grasp how it cropped and what has it to do with state’s welfare? Rajasthan public is happy with PM Modi so there is no backlash against Demonetization and GST or any other central scheme. Agrarian crises as exaggerated in media and fueled by rich farmers and opposition leader collusion also does not seem to perturb farmers in Rajasthan as there is no anger against Modiji. Also Minimum Selling Price has been increased in BJP regime and availability of Urea is increased and crackdown on black market has been carried out. It is agreed that still much has to be done but the Government seems to be in right track. So in short Rajasthan election is fought by Congress on flimsy ground on fake narrative which is devoid of real issues.

The issues because of which Media is claiming loss for BJP is the history of Rajasthan not voting the same government for consecutive terms and because of other two issues discussed which actually fills one with respect for the ruling government and questions the mindset of voters instead.

If for these issues BJP fails to form Government again in Rajasthan, it would be loss of credibility for the democracy itself.

Jai Hind!
