Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s appointment as Congress party’s general in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, has suddenly become a media buzz and seems somehow to boost Congress workers confidence and there is portrayal that there is rejuvenation in the party in U.P.
Analogy:
It seems quite as if we have time traveled to olden days when the Kings used to rule and whenever the throne fell vacant by the sudden demise of King, his young children used to be made kings, who had no past experience in ruling, by birthright. Civilians in the Kingdom used to kneel and pay homage to the new ruler who they hoped will bring the prosperity which was lacking in previous ones reign, and the cycle used to continue. No merit was ever attached to the King hood and birthright was the most important qualification for asserting the right on the throne.
The Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty:
Even after so many years of Independence it seems India remains unchanged. Freedom from Britishers has been long obtained, yet the mindset is still enslaved. After Independence Indira Gandhi in-order to curb the rising powers of the descendants of Royal families abolished “Privy Purse”, but in the shadows of Congress, Nehru-Gandhi dynasty family was already in the making of another tyrannical Dynasty.
Congress Party which before and even after independence had remarkable leaders whose image was more clear than a crystal but Nehru and later Indira made sure that there remain no space in the party for such leaders, so that their authority over the party and by extension in India could not be challenged. Therefore tactfully the cry of “India is Indira and Indira is India” was cropped up and spread quite like what Hitler did in Germany before WWII. Leaders like Sardar Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Morarji Desai, K. Kamraj etc were schematically sidelined and forgotten in the history of Congress. Indira Gandhi’s successfully used Emergency to replace all Congress Chief Minister who has independent base and was a strong leader with her loyalists.
This started the boot-licking culture in Congress, which still follows. Her son, Sanjay Gandhi who was the second in command in Congress during her Prime Minister-ship led a rule of terror in India with his associates. What happened in Emergency is well known and had been a subject of many articles. After death of Sanjay Gandhi, Indira Gandhi brought Rajiv Gandhi her elder son in to politics after all she has to ensure that reigns of India always remain with their dynasty. Nehru-Gandhi dynasty were so much self obsessed that each of Prime Ministers from Congress gave themselves “Bharat Ratna” the highest Civilian honor of India.
Present Scenario:
Inclusion of Priyanka Gandhi, which is being depicted as master-stroke of Congress by media, is depicting again that even Indian media is yet to be free from being enslaved under a Monarch. Media is even going gaga over how she is so similar to Indira-Gandhi and hence will find acceptance, all this exposes media and political commentators bias, as:
- By doing so they are approving Indira Gandhi’s reign of horror which includes Indira Gandhi’s autocratic regime, media gags, imprisonment of Political opponents, murders, ruthless mass sterilization, during emergency, and how she patronized Bhindranwale and then with Operation Blue star disregarded the sanctity of Golden Temple in Amritsar.
- They have hailed a entry of a person who has not been renowned for any accomplishment except being born in to Gandhi dynasty which displays their deep rooted mindset which subdues to monarchy.
- They have ridiculed the effort which a common man has to make to rise to such posts.
- This attitude is what makes corruption prevalent because it sends a message in public that influence is power and hence person resort to unlawful ways to extract benefits.
It’s all about how Lutyen media (Paid media) is adversely affected by Modi government which is offering them no benefits as their predecessors and hence are bent upon the agenda of overthrowing BJP Government, so any news in Congress has been highly exaggerated and posed as masterstroke, while lies are subdued and often not even effectively aired or printed.
Now why would they assume morale boost of public because of entry of Priyanka Gandhi who only has limited exposure to common public of UP? She did not work for their welfare or even visited the constituencies of her mother and brother, where she makes guest appearance during the elections. Smriti Irani who even after suffering a defeat in Amethi remained loyal to the constituency and made regular visits and looked after the welfare of the constituency while Gandhis even after the win have forsaken the constituency again.
So why would people be enthusiastic about her joining party because as usual Gandhis have a history of starring in Guest appearance in their constituency and then re-appear only in next elections.
It’s high time that People of our country considered leaders by their report card and not name.
Hope people steer country to glory by choosing the leaders who work for their welfare and showing no sympathy to those who asks vote in the name of Gandhi surname.
