In order to weed out serious social problems such as #LoveJihad, one must fully understand the problem, which though seems recent but has been practiced since the colonial times.
Britishers, French, Portuguese & other regimes used such practices to produce mixed race children inorder to strengthen their hold on the empire in the captured regions. We are very well known about marriages of Mughal invader with Rajput Princesses which made them more acceptable to local public and could efficiently manage huge empire which would have been impossible without the support of natives.
So in short such practices are used parallels with brutal tactics of forceful conversions, discrimination, destruction of institutions of religion and knowledge. In present scenario the same tactics are being continued. Even Brits could easily gauge that Muslims are misfit with native religions and can be seen initiating riots on the smallest pretext. Britishers never wanted that India should develop and become a superpower at par with them for the same purpose they utilised extremism in Islam to their advantage and were able to inflict a brutal wound on India by partitioning India in to two on the based of religious lines and were able to play Nehru enough to keep India secular which was same as laying seeds for future partitioning. In present context the seeds sown by Britishers are now grown in to parasitic plant again threatening the unity of India. Muslims continue to instill fear by wrecking havoc on the smallest excuse by causing communal riots all over the country. This constant fear ensures that their religion and practices no matter how barbaric are not questioned and people learn to accept them as they are. This ensures that Maulvis, Maulana, and Islamic extremists continue to weild clout over their followers. Coming to soft power which has many faces in the current century, moderate Muslims continue to whitewash crimes of extremists and play victim card which gains them mass sympathy. Highly placed Muslims play a major role in subverting the truth and making sure even slain terrorists, no matter how gruesome their crime is are painted with picture of Victim. Now coming to our main topic Love Jihad which is implemented in two ways 1. Trapping gullible, divorced, widows or helpless girls. 2. Trapping educated and liberal girls.
- Trapping gullible, divorced, widows or helpless girls: Radical Muslims consider such girls as an easy target and these girls are fooled by using false identity, appearing as Hindu man. They ensure that girls will be unable to unearth their reality owing to lack of resources. The relationship in such cases is speedily progressed to marriage after which the scenario changes and girls is forced by person and his peer to bow down to his wishes. The girl in such situation feels helpless as she feels that if the matter comes to light her own peers will not accept her and she would be all alone, which leaves only one choice for her to bow down to the choice of her oppressor. In case the girl tries to fight off, and raise her voice she is silenced forever to hide the facts and even if it comes to light moderate Muslims and leftist media make sure that it is soon forgotten.
- Trapping educated and liberal girls: These girls are played in a different way. Jihadis targetting them appear moderate to them and gain sympathy of the girl by first gaining her trust then showcasing to her that Muslims in India are considered second class citizens, girls already in love are blinded and truthfully believe in the narrative. Such Muslims try to appear broad minded and ready to provide required space, openness and freedom to girls. Girls believing their version which is actually carefully done play-acting agree to marry them. After which the story slowly changes, they try to increase communication of the girl with his peers, where struggles are portrayed that because of her views, culture and religion the boy is facing problems with his family and society. Society directly pressurise girl to submit to their will by changing her dressing, eating habits etc. Slowly without her knowing her whole personality is changed after which conversion bomb is exploded. At this stage once free, liberal girls now finds herself in shackles and finding no way out succumbs to their tactics. In some cases where the girl finds enough courage is able to divorce the perpetrator and is able to save rest of her life from the clutches of eternal slavery, recent example being, Tina Dabi IAS topper. Very few girls in such cases can fight off the extreme pressure, as revolting again against their own choice seems to hurt their ego and their liberal credentials among their pseudo-secular friend circle.
In short in one sided Love relationship hurt is always in the share of person who truly loves. In Love jihad case it is establish that Jihadis are players and girls are played so in the broken heart is ensure but if girls are able to escape such relationship with just broken heart are the lucky ones while the unlucky ones often end up dead and sometimes in suitcases.
In the end I would appeal whole Hindu community to not demonise girls who have seen the brutal side of Love jihad and work for their rehabilitation, which will embolden more girls who are fooled by Love jihad and are now trapped for forceful conversion. These girls will turn out as excellent mascot against Love jihad and save lives of many girls.
